Honoring Mothers Everywhere
Mother's Day is this Sunday, but at The Promise School, we believe that celebrating mothers should happen every day. Mothers are our first teachers, strongest advocates, and most dedicated supporters.
We recognize the countless ways mothers (and father’s) contribute to our school community—volunteering in classrooms, supporting their children's learning at home, participating in school events, and partnering with our teachers to ensure student success.
Celebrating Our Community Partners
Literacy changes lives. We are incredibly proud of our partners, Catherine Hagberg and Susan Nyman, from the Low Country Orton-Gillingham Training, LLC, for their work with Lindsey Ballenger at Orton-Gillingham Charleston. Their impressive work was prominently featured in a recent Post and Courier article highlighting solutions to literacy gaps in our region. We are so very fortunate to have their deep support for our students, parents, and staff!
These partnerships strengthen our ability to deliver structured literacy instruction that works for all learners, especially those who learn differently. Their expertise and collaboration are invaluable assets to our community.
A Special Recognition
We would like to take a moment to recognize our Head of School, Brandie D'Orazio, who exemplifies excellence both as an educational leader and as an amazing mom. Mrs. D'Orazio's vision and leadership have been instrumental in creating the nurturing learning environment we all cherish, while her dedication to her own family reminds us of the balance that makes our community so special.
